PNN – Gaza – A Palestinian man was reported killed and four others were slightly injured when Israeli troops opened fire on Tuesday night in residential areas in the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources said that Israeli troops fired tank shells and live rounds at homes, then fired tear gas into people's homes.

Hassan Abu Rok, 22, was killed while another four civilians were moved to a hospital suffering from tear gas inhalation, medical sources reported.

Abu Rok is the fourth Palestinian to be killed by the Israeli army in Gaza this week. On Sunday Israeli troops and Palestinain fighters from the Islamic Jihad group exchanged fire in Khan Younis near the border with Israel. The clash lasted for a few hours and resulted in the death of three Palestinian fighters.
