Hebron - PNN – Israeli and international supporters joined Palestinian on Saturday to protest the Israeli wall and settlements in the southern West Bank city of Hebron and nearby Beit Omer village.
Since 1994 the Israeli army have closed a number of streets in the old city effectively cutting off Palestinian families living there from their work and restricted their ability to built homes or move freely.
Israeli soldiers used tear gas to stop the protest, three local were lightly wounded and three Israeli activist marching with the Palestinians were arrested and beaten up by troops.
Earlier in the day villagers of Beit Omer along with international and Israeli peace activist marched toward the nearby Israeli settlement of Karmi Tsour. Soldiers stationed near the settlement fired tear gas at the protesters. Many were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation.
