JERUSALEM (Ma’an) – An Israeli magistrates court on Sunday sent a Palestinian minor from the Silwan neighborhood of Jerusalem to house arrest for 21 days after the boy’s family paid 750 NIS bail.
Mustafa Jamjoum was accused of throwing stones at Israeli forces during recent demonstrations.
Also, the Israeli municipality delayed the demolition of a home in Silwan for two months.
A judge insisted that member of the local committee for defending Silwan properties Fakhri Abu Thiab and his wife admit they violated the law and built their home without a license.
The court ruled, after Abu Thiab admitted guilt and regretted that he built his home without a license, that an appropriate verdict would be taken. “That means demolition is still in effect,” Abu Thiab noted. Maan News Agency: Silwan minor sent to house arrest
